Description

Art/Words; jetZig/Dylan

"May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young.

May you grow up to be righteous
May you grow up to be true
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you
May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young.

May your hands always be busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift
May your heart always be joyful
And may your song always be sung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young."

Hell 1-8; The original #1 (for those who downloaded it before deletes) is no longer part of the 8 piece series, #7 will more than likely (and does) replace it. So the series will be 2-9, but the total of images will be 8. Does that make sense?
#2 will be uploaded as a Redux, same goes for #3. They will replace the original #2 and #3 in the Hell series.
Well, number II did not turn out to be a Redux anyway. Quite different than the original #2.

The endless variations on Firpo v. Dempsey continue in the skilled hand of the artist jetZig. I have followed these transfigurations of the classic boxing painting to this uncharted area of what I like to call post-fetish-fight-art. As I have said before jetZig is an artist that kicks the crap out of the usual "cat-fight" lot and delivers something awe inspiring, thoughtful and most importantly intense and frightening. Visions of historical possibility and in some sense true and present descriptions of our deepest natures. This type of art leans on fetish material but only to skyrocket itself into another whole dimension. It can all happen so many ways, and jetZig has used a classic leaping off point to show us something about our desire.

In this piece, positioned in some transcendent fight universe, the attention is really drawn to the two in the crowd who are eager to dispose of the fallen fighter. One has to look closely at the others to see what is going on in the crowd. But here it is equal with the fight itself. In this cruel installation boundaries are lost... no real ring-ropes, just falling into the hands of cruel others. When the goddess returns, this is what happens. A prophetic vision.
